Who This App Is For
1. Adults Living In Spanish-Speaking Countries
The person who has lived in Spain, Mexico, Colombia, Costa Rica, or another Spanish-speaking country for 2, 5, or even 10 years.
They know:
- Hola
- Gracias
- Lo siento
But they still freeze during conversations.
They still switch back to English.
They still rely on Google Translate.
Every day they think:
“I’ve been here for years. Why can’t I speak this language yet?”
This app was built for them.
2. People Who Have Quit Multiple Language Apps
They’ve tried:
- Duolingo
- Babbel
- Rosetta Stone
- Memrise
- Busuu
Maybe all of them.
They’ve built streaks.
They’ve completed lessons.
They’ve earned badges.
But when a real Spanish speaker asks them a question…
…their mind goes blank.
The problem isn’t effort.
The problem is that most apps optimize for engagement.
Not speaking.
Cadence optimizes for speaking.
3. Busy Professionals Who Want Results Faster
These people don’t want another hobby.
They want competence.
They want to walk into:
- a restaurant
- a doctor’s office
- a government building
- a business meeting
- a parent-teacher conference
and handle themselves in Spanish.
They don’t care about collecting vocabulary words.
They care about functioning.
4. High Achievers
Some people simply hate inefficiency.
If there’s a faster path, they want it.
These are the people who ask:
“What’s the 20% that produces 80% of the result?”
Cadence was designed around exactly that question.
Not every verb.
Not every tense.
Not every grammar rule.
Only what earns its place.
The Real Problem Most Spanish Learners Face
The internet makes language learning look easy.
But most people get stuck because they are learning the wrong things in the wrong order.
They spend months memorizing:
- random vocabulary
- obscure grammar
- low-frequency phrases
while never developing the ability to build sentences themselves.
The breakthrough comes when you can take an English thought and produce Spanish.
That’s what conversation requires.
That’s what most apps barely train.
Cadence trains it every day.
Why Google Translate And ChatGPT Are Not Enough
People say:
“Why learn Spanish when AI can translate everything?”
Because life doesn’t work that way.
You don’t pull out ChatGPT when:
- a police officer speaks to you
- your landlord asks a question
- your neighbor starts a conversation
- your child needs help at school
- someone asks you for directions
- a doctor gives instructions
Real life happens in real time.
Language creates freedom.
Technology helps.
Speaking helps more.
Why Cadence Is Different
Most language apps focus on keeping you engaged.
Cadence focuses on making you capable.
Instead of overwhelming you with thousands of forms and endless lessons, it focuses on the highest-leverage parts of Spanish.
You learn the verbs that matter most.
The 100 verbs you’ll actually use.
You learn the tenses that matter most.
The ones used constantly in everyday conversation.
You practice in the direction that creates speaking ability.
English → Spanish.
Not the easy way.
The useful way.
You learn patterns.
Not endless tables.
Not mindless memorization.
Patterns that make Spanish start feeling predictable.
You retain what you learn.
Through spaced repetition and intelligent review scheduling.
The goal isn’t finishing lessons.
The goal is remembering them months later.
What People Really Want
Nobody wakes up wanting to learn conjugations.
They want:
- confidence
- independence
- connection
- belonging
They want to stop feeling like a tourist.
They want to stop feeling embarrassed.
They want to stop avoiding conversations.
They want Spanish to feel natural.
Cadence is simply the shortest path to that outcome.
Is This You?
Have you…
- Downloaded 3, 5, or even 10 Spanish apps and eventually stopped using all of them?
- Built a long learning streak but still struggled to hold a real conversation?
- Lived in a Spanish-speaking country for years and still felt uncomfortable speaking?
- Found yourself reaching for Google Translate every day?
- Learned vocabulary but froze when it was time to build a sentence?
- Felt overwhelmed by endless verb tables and grammar rules?
- Started learning Spanish multiple times but never felt like you were truly progressing?
If you answered “yes” to even a few of these, you’re not alone.
Most people don’t fail because they’re lazy.
They fail because they’re following systems designed to keep them engaged rather than helping them speak.

Why I Built Cadence
My Story
When I started learning Spanish, I wasn’t looking for another hobby.
I wanted to actually speak the language.
Like many people, I started with classes, apps, websites, videos, and whatever resources I could find online.
But something felt wrong.
The more I learned, the more overwhelmed I became.
Every teacher seemed to give me more conjugations.
Every website showed massive verb tables.
Every app kept adding lessons.
Yet nobody could answer the question I really cared about:
“What’s the fastest path to actually speaking Spanish?”
I watched people maintain learning streaks for years and still struggle to hold conversations.
I spent months trying different tools, only to discover that many required almost as much effort to learn as Spanish itself.
After a year of frustration, experimentation, and studying what actually works, patterns started to emerge.
I realized that most learners don’t need more information.
They need better sequencing.
They need the right verbs.
The right tenses.
The right practice.
And they need a system built specifically for English speakers.
So I built the tool I wish I had on day one.
Not to keep people engaged.
Not to maximize screen time.
But to help people speak Spanish sooner, retain what they learn, and finally feel real progress.
That’s why Cadence exists.
Want Early Access?
Most people don’t quit learning Spanish because they’re lazy.
They quit because they stop seeing progress.
They spend months:
- Completing lessons
- Building streaks
- Memorizing vocabulary
Yet when it’s time to have a real conversation…
They freeze.
I’ve been there myself.
That’s why I’ve spent the last year building a different kind of Spanish learning app — one designed to help English speakers develop the skills that actually matter for speaking and retaining the language.
The first version is finally ready.
Now I’m looking for a small group of people willing to test it and share honest feedback about their learning experience.
Cadence is invite-only — you study it with an access key. If you’d like to test it and give honest feedback, I’d love to hear from you.
Already have a key?
Don’t have one yet? Tell me a bit about yourself below and I’ll send you an early-access key. Let’s build something better together.
